All The Right Moves Presents “The AR Project”

“The AR Project” is an initiative created to expand awareness of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle program initiated by our Federal Legislation.

Fall 09 Class Updates

Our demo crews have been visiting all of our sites the past 3 weeks!  The lunchtime demos have been fantastic as we have energized the students, introduced them to our hip hop program and invited them to join our classes.  Cave Creek is in full motion with outstanding enrollments.  All of the elementary programs are a go.  Lauren, Sundance and Jayar have been posting blogs on their classes to keep parents updated.  Make sure you check out their blogs.

Orangedale, in the Balsz district began on August 26 reaching our maximum number of students for class enrollment.  Go Sundance!

We’ll be launching the Scottsdale classes the week of August 31st.  If you haven’t enrolled yet, please do so as soon as possible.  Classes are filling quickly.  We have schools with student wait lists.

We look forward to seeing you in class!  Enjoy every moment of your day!  Dance like no one is watching!

Program Descriptions

School Assemblies/KIDS Performances

All The Right Moves in-school assemblies and performances provide K-12 students the exciting experience of participating as an audience member in a live performance within a familiar setting. Our program showcases the principals of hip hop culture, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, peace, love, unity and safely having fun. We include the audience in a physically integrated dance experience. Programs typically last 35 minutes to an hour. All The Right Moves instructors also provide 45-minute creative dance workshops for 20-30 students for an additional fee.

In the Classroom

Visits to individual classrooms provide opportunities to meet our instructors to learn about integrity, accountability, pursuing your passion, support and self-expression. Visits last approximately 30-minutes and include visual art, video, and a conversational atmosphere.

In School Residencies & Studio Classes

All The Right Moves works with select elementary schools and performing arts centers to bring creative dance classes to kids. Residencies range from 3 days to one academic year depending on shared goals and available resources. The class size is typically about 20 students. Students have the opportunity to explore their own dance vocabulary, build confidence, practice cooperation and develop appreciation of each other’s creative expression. We also focus on the foundation of Hip Hop dance including locking, popping, breaking, muscle isolation, balance, strength, rhythm, choreography, freestyle, grooving, rocking, and performing.

Master Classes and Intensives

Offer master classes and workshops in physically integrated dance for non-dancers, dancers, health and educational professionals as well as members of the community, with any level of dance experience. We also offer ‘intensives’ and ‘teacher trainings’, which provide more concentrated study of particular themes or approaches for intermediate and advanced students.

We also host a monthly Professional Series where we invite well-known dance teachers and choreographers to teach during our regular studio classes. This gives our students and others the opportunity to experience different teachers and different contemporary dance forms.

Redefining Dance & Community

Our company members engage in presentations and lecture demonstrations in a variety of settings including conferences, seminars, classes and professional trainings to present information on this exciting performance company. Presentations are appropriate for health care professionals; occupational therapy groups; government, transportation and corporate staff development trainings; and university and college students. Demonstrations may include video presentation, and physical demonstrations. Lecture demonstrations are often a good choice for community centers, schools, convention centers, libraries, or other public or corporate venues.. These presentations are usually an hour and a half in length and include a video presentation, live demonstrations and question and answer sessions with working dance artists.

Fundraising and Charity Events

Our company is committed to supporting local charities and raising funds for non-profit organizations. We hold an annual fundraiser, “Dancing for Donations” in which 100% of the proceeds are distributed to Child Help USA and The Phoenix Children’s Project. All The Right Moves embraces any opportunity to be of service to the community and we are dedicated to helping those in need.

Performances

All the Right Moves is available for professionally presented full-length performances and for less formal events. We can travel as a full company or smaller ensemble, presenting shows of 30-90 minutes in length. Performances are tailored to your specific needs. Our diverse repertoire includes pieces choreographed by company members as well as many esteemed choreographers and is suited to any audience.
